I tried to finish up work on my car today instead of going to ASB. I went out there yesterday and it was fun, but such a bummer seeing everybody ELSE drive.
I picked up a new lower metal panel for the kouki taillights.
I HAD a brand new one but sold it not knowing that the one on my car was the WRONG one. I found out as I sold the part to the guy. What a bummer.
I also figured I’d do a quick install of Nismo Power Brace and Powered by Max tension rods.
That sure as hell took FOREVER. WAY WAY WAY longer than it should have.
All the bolts were just stuck in there. It seems like EVERYTHING on this car is torqued down twice as much as it should be. What a pain in the ass.
One of the stock tension rods was a real bitch. The bolt that holds it to the tension rod bracket would NOT come out at all. I finally went to work to get the air compressor and gun so I could hopefully zap it out of there. That didn’t work. So, I realized I had a cut off wheel too.
I chopped up the tension rod bracket and took out the tension rod that way. Still couldn’t get the bolt out, so I have to order a new one tomorrow so I can finish all that garbage.
Installation of the parts was pretty smooth and I used the gun to blast everything back together.
I also picked up some killer Ed Templeton shoes on ebay. They arrived. These ones were pretty damn hard to find, so I jumped at the BUY IT NOW when I saw them.
And last, I found this OLD OLD OLD Pink GodziRa sticker on my old tool box.
I’m pretty sure this is the FIRST one made. There was also a flip flop colorway..
