Hatch area just about done.

Today went well. I finished up the wiring in the rear of the car. Finished up the tailights and the new “loom”. Painted the whole thing white (for now) and installed the GT Spec parts, C Pillar bar and trunk Brace. They look HOT. Of course, very simple install. Just 17mm bolts. doene and done. They even give you new bolts/washers to use.

Monday I have the rear tower bar coming in, so I’ll put that in too next week.

 

I’m glad I finally got all of that done. It was taking forever.

OH, also got all the sound deadening off the rear fender arches. Those were such a pain in the ass. I don’t want to that ever again. Now, I just have some left on the transmission tunnel and up by the foot area. I sort of feel like not even bothering with it. I’m so tired of hammering away and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning and cleaning.

So it looks like my seat I ordered in JUNE is finally almost going to come to me. It is apparently in Canada right now going  through customs. Why is it in Canada? GO TO HELL.

Anyways, I am hoping to have it in a couple weeks time now…. or maybe a couple more months.

Sunday’s results

Today went pretty well I guess.

 

I put the new taillights in yesterday and today I wired the all up (except for one brake light because I was too tired) This was pretty fun I guess.

 

I cut down a TON of wiring in the car. a HELLL OF A LOT. Of course I made mistakes along the way (cut one of the brake light harnesses out on accident. woops, but I found it and am fixing it.)

I cut so much out, but I think for some reason the dome light doesn’t work now. I didn’t even touch that wiring though. Oh well. I also think the actual numbers on the clock don’t light up…but the rest of the cluster does… I think. It was hard to tell in the sun.

 

I also bought some dry ice and knocked out almost all the sound deadening. In my opinion, dry ice isn’t much better than old school hammer and chisel and MUSCLE. I cleaned up a lot of the reside also. There is still so much more work to do though. Maybe one more full weekend, and I can have it done.

I think I’m going to paint the inside white… I think. I really want to just color match it to whatever color the car will be, but I think that is going to be too much work.

 

I think all the brake fluid is just leaking into the Booster. This makes sense. There are no puddles under the car. I’ll have to find a new booster. bleh. Prolonging the build more. Probably won’t make ASB.

Saturday work on the car

I have a free weekend this weekend to do some work to the car. I am really hoping to get a lot done.

 

I picked up a Nismo Power brace today as well as a set of taillights… that I didn’t plan on, but it happened anyway.

 

I got more of the sound deadening out today and I think tomorrow I’ll hit up the store for some dry ice. I’m tired of doing it the hard way… now that almost ALL of it is gone.

I should probably take out the dash while I’m at it, but we’ll see.

 

I put in the new taillights today too. lame. looks like I am going to have to play with wires to get them to work. I guess it will be ok (maybe) because I started stripping down the huge bundle of wires going around the car. I’ll finish up with that tomorrow and hopefully get the lights fixed up.

We’ll see how far I actually get though.

 

Oh yeah, I also put on the new mirrors, but DAMNIT, the lenses are not in. When the other guy had them painted, the shop took out the lenses to paint them real nice. Now I can’t figure out how to get them back in. I tried for a while. DAMN. Maybe one day I’ll get it.

and the lights. Nice center panel. They look way better than the ebay dilly dallys that were on there before.

Skid Plate time

 

Today my new skid plate arrived.

I ordered it a long long time ago from Parts Shop MAX.

it is here now and it looks good.

It seems to be a little more thin than the one that was on my s14, but I think it will work fine.

I can’t wait to put it on.

I just got a SWEET package in the mail today from the RISKY DEVIL folks.

Man, there are some badass stickers in here let me tell you.

I can’t wait to add to my car. There won’t be too many stickers on the new car, but there WILL be Risky Devil on there for sure.

Found a pair of mirrors today finally.

VeilSide Japan couldn’t seem to get me a new set… apparently discontinued or backorder or something from gaandor. But who knows, Maybe They were too lazy to get me the mirrors to begin with.

So, I found these local today.

I can’t explain how glad I am to have found these.

Now the only thing I need to get is the front lip and I am done.

Well, taillights too, but I just have to head up to Nissan to get those.

 

I got the new shocks for my hatch today too. Can’t wait to put them in. The umbrella pole is getting LAME.
