I forgot what is the best way to clean up sound deadening residue.

CRAP!

Friday update :)

Posted in Car CRAP on August 29, 2008 by bhworld

Okay, today I painted the rear calipers, but did not get to totally finish them. I think I will do that on Sunday. I had to leave early today, so the paint job is just half done.

I put my new shift boot in and the center console dealio, here it is.

I like it. Please ignore the big open space though. The dvd player won’t go in yet until I do a bunch of work in and around that area to clear extra junk out.

Also, found some more of my little doodads that I have for the car. Japanese sidemarkers and Billion heat sensitive sticker deals.

Last thing for now is a quick picture of the GT Spec pillar bar I popped in there. I LOVE this thing.

Looking.

Brembo STYLE caliper done.

Do I really know what I’m doing?

Not really.

But hey, We’ll see what happens.

Now, I must give some money to Endless to get new PADS.

BOOTS

Posted in Car CRAP on August 28, 2008 by bhworld

Lisa at justshiftboots.com just sent me a couple shift boots.

Which one do I want to use first, Fendi or Burberry?

I think I’m going for Fendi this time.

Your opinion?

more Kognition

Mike at Kognition is going to make me some carbon B pillars for the car.

I’ve wanted these for a while, (a long time now, before I ever had a 180. dork) I knew some of the J companies sold them, like THRASH for example. some are just overlays while some are full pillars.

At any rate, I know they will be awesome. Kognition does GREAT carbon work.

check them out!

Super Photo Post!!!

First, we have my new brakes. These are from BNR32. I am painting them gold with red letters.

Now we have my new dash here. No cracks. Also you may notice the Japanese 180sx gauge cluster. Necessary for drift.

Oh yes, classic 2001 style checkered floormats. I hope you don’t see the company that they came from!

Well, there isn’t much you can do to make a KA engine cool, so why not add a nice Tomei oil cap? ok done!

oh, and of course, that custom paint for good looks.

How about this? Diamonds on the valve stem caps. Mmmm mmmmmm

I will be getting a few parts from GT Spec in a few days.  ( gtspec.com )

First – C pillar bar. Much better than those boring ebay/MEGAN racing C pillar bars. These seem BEEFY. hot.

Second – Trunk Brace. This thing mounts to the floor of the trunk space where the bumper reinforcement goes. I love it. I LOVE braces all over the car. This thing should be pretty cool. Did you know that S15 Silvia comes with a FACTORY trunk brace??? where are the ones for s13 and s14?

Last – A lower brace for the subframe that bolts to the tow link points. You won’t be able to see this just at a glance, but it will be COOL for sure.

Also, I just got paid today, so I’ll be getting some fun stuff from Nissan this week.

5 lug hubs for front and rear. Z32 2+2 e brake cables for the GTR brakes I have. Stainless brake lines for those same brakes, maybe a nice fat Master Cylinder. and I think I might just get some new taillights this week too. We’ll see. I don’t want to go OVERBOARD.

I think I am picking up a NICE dash this week also from a local dude.

Mmmm mmmm

I hope my car turns out nice! (sike, I KNOW it will)

I am dangerous with the Dremel

Posted in Car CRAP on August 24, 2008 by bhworld

Yes yes, the stock license plate spot looks ding dong dookie on the bumper, so the best thing to do is to take the dremel and cut it out.

Just FYI, in case you didn’t know, Japanese and USA license plates are different sizes and the holes on the J bumper are too far apart, so you must drill news ones.  I left the little “teeth” on there so I can bolt a plate on. ugh. Maybe I’ll just cut them out too.

Oh and I MUST remove that bumper reinforcement behind there. YUCK!. I just don’t feel like doing it today.

I feel like having a Cherry Pepsi or Coke.

Thats what is up.
